Gopher
Canadian holiday. Inception, DH2, TDK and DMC all dropped too. Nothing to see here, folks.
RTX
It is a big deal though. It's another option for people to see. I think TDKR will still do 18-19 mill for the weekend.I doubt that someone would choose two trashy films over TDKR. Last weekend's openers had no effect on it. Ferrel and August go together like peanut butter and jam. His comedies at this time of year always do well.
Fake
Except the number didn't look that good yesterday.Since Canada had 4-day holiday weekend, the Sunday gross from there was inflated as well compared to normal. That is why the Sunday drop was better than expected, and Monday drop didn't look anything abnormal.I think the trajectory, if there was not a holiday, would have been:Sat: 14.3m (actual 14.3m)Sun: 10.7m (actual 11.2m)Mon: 4.3m (actual 4.7m)
iceroll
Probably because I'm new to this stuff.I think this boxoffice stuff doesn't fit me. Maybe I don't feel welcomed!?Nobody's a box office pro when they start. It's about having fun tracking movies that you're anticipating or enjoyed.

blackspider
Weekdays definitely are not TDKR's strong suit the way they were for TDK. Gotta hope for a big Friday increase to keep a 20m weekend on the table.
