MovieMan89
Spectre and SW7 should join too, though they will knock Minions back out. Still, half of the WW top ten set to be 2015 releases by early next year.

grim22
Looks like we could see 2 consecutive weekends setting monthly OW records. HT2 looks almost certain to break the September record.

grim22
With Fifty Shades beating Passion of the Christ, every monthly OW record now belongs to movies released in the 2010s (and we could end up with 8 months having records created this year). Puny record compared to every other month that is not puny October. That won't change until a studio releases a big movie in September, or something like an American Sniper comes out of nowhere. The oldest records now belong to Deathly Hallows 2 from 2011 and Hunger Games from 2012.

Yeah September is still likely to be dominated by animation titles until a studio decides to take a risk with a bigger tentpole. Sniper is likely to hold that record for awhile. langer
It's a very interesting thread. even though some parts of it is mostly Impact bumping his thread with new late updates or predictions, this is always nice to keep an eye on these records. lilmac
Puny record compared to every other month that is not puny October. Rush Hour has September when adjusting for inflation. It's like $59m.

TServo2049
Rush Hour still sold the second largest amount of tickets within the calendar month of September (behind The Sixth Sense, which released in August). No other movie has made $100M adjusted in September, or done a larger portion of its business in September than in any other month. (The biggest adjusted September releases, Crocodile Dundee and Fatal Attraction, made only a tiny bit of their money IN September.) I know, the chart, but still.
