Sims
Most of the people in this thread are 'working' still. The problem is that they never became anywhere near the stars their PR teams wanted them to be.
TLK
Aniston is not a flop. She was the queen of bad romcom before anyone had even heard of Katherine Heigl. Her problem is that she may be a bit too old for some of the roles that made her famous a decade ago. Her mojo page. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/people/chart/?id=jenniferaniston.htm
rockNrollaDIM
Yeah Aniston has done pretty well for herself by getting cast opposite big comedy stars. Sandler Carrey etc etc. I'm surprised she's never even attempted an Oscar bait though. Maybe she just can't get those parts.

The Futurist
Wrong, Aniston tried the little indie to prove she was an actress. The movie was called The Good Girl.
dashrendar44
And she failed since no one cared nor remembered. Edited March 3, 2013 by dashrendar44
The Futurist
She s everything but a fail though. She is/was paid ridiculous amounts of money to star in those rom com. She is filthy rich and still one of the biggest stars in America. But she doesn't make great movies yeah.
dashrendar44
Yes, she's rich (and she's been dumped by Brad Pitt for Angelina Jolie) but she'll never prove she's an interesting actress beyond shitty romcom. That's the point of her "fail". No amount of money would buy her filmography credentials and acting awards, being recognized by her peers.(As long as Harvey doesn't campaign for her ) Edited March 3, 2013 by dashrendar44
fishstick
Please Team Jolie, Aniston is NOT a flop. She may not be in prestige movies but she is far from a flop. Most of the people in this thread are 'working' still. The problem is that they never became anywhere near the stars their PR teams wanted them to be. That disqualifies Aniston as a flop right there. Her movies may be shite but many made decent to great money.

But it's certainly not this one.
dashrendar44
Yeah in this world where starring in uncountable shitty romcoms is considered an acting achievement. Well, for me, Aniston is the Tyler Perry of romantic comedies. No matter how much money they make, there's a sensation of waste, a void of talent that will never blossom into awards worthy territory.(And I think she wished to but don't have the acting skills to pull it off). To keep on the topic, who does remember Monica Potter? Edited March 3, 2013 by dashrendar44

Rovex
Aniston just makes the wrong sort of movies. Ive not seen a movie of hers that I didn't like her in, even if I hated the movie, which I almost universally did..

fishstick
Jessica Alba She kinda happened but is flopped now for sure. I mena, she`s in Machete movies. That seals it.
The Futurist
She happened as a sex symbol yeah. As an actress, not so much. She makes covers of magazines now to talk about how she diet and she is invited to be a presenter in every award show known to mankind.
