The announcement about Tim Miller working on Alien Legion does show the whole 'people won't work with WB' is a load of bull.

To say people weren't/aren't still worried about it just because people still have to work is also unfair though.

The article specifically mentioned a worried text chain between creatives currently working on movie at WB trying to assure each other. That doesn't sound great.

Also, probably just a coincidence, but the announcement of the movie did only come after WB backtracked about the Coyote movie.

Burning down your own house to collect the insurance money is a good way to describe what Zaslav has been doing. Ban him and others for dumping movies just to get the tax break which is becoming a disgusting tactic.

And the IRS tends to frown on  excessvcie use of this kind of write off. Zaslev might be asking for a IRS Tax Evasion investigation.

Nice ret-con of history there.

Prior to BvS coming out, Batman on his own was a billion dollar franchise, a fan favourite, and a critical darling.

Snyder couldn't get anywhere near close to any of that, even with Superman as well.

He ruined the goodwill the audience had for DC movies, and all the hype that Nolan had built for years.

You don't  ret con history, you falsify it.

if the Snyderverse was so damn sucessful, why did Warners force Snyder out of the DCU after JL?

Granted, his cut of JL  was better then we got in theaters..at least he got that Darkseid was the big bad, not his henchman Steppenwolf....but still not a masterpiece.

Bu then the Snyderfans are a cult.

Nice! Zaslav about to get slapped!

IRS can hurt him without charging him with anything. just deny the write off. I am betting the IRS can pretty much find  grounds for denial if they want to badly enough.

If you do the same write off too many times, IRS gets supsicous. Delibertly sabotaging your business to get a tax write off is condiered Tax Evasion.

I think it was true at the time, and WB just backed off when they saw the backlash.

Zasleve backed off when it looked as if he was going to mess around with Turner Classic Movies. He got a massive backlash from the industry, including many other studio heads.

I wonder if there is not a shareholders revolt beginning to brew at WB. Zaslev made them huge promises, but has failed to deliver on them.
