Andy001
If Expendables 4 gets made, it will almost certainly be a Chinese co-production, because that's the only market where it's an actual hit. (And a "Chinese Expendables" would be cool anyway - Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Chow Yun-Fat, Michelle Yeoh, Yuen Biao, Donnie Yen, Andy Lau... Could a theoretical EX4 with some/all of them do $75M+?)If ex 4 get made.. With Chan , Li, donnie yen & chow yun fat i'd say a $100+ mills in china is a guarantee. Mojoguy
There were people who really thought Dawn wouldn't hit 100m in China?
Mojoguy
So Dawn is already at 700m WW? BOM is still listing China as 72m for Dawn for some reason. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=dawnoftheapes.htm
Archerdude
GotG has really been fucked. First a bad release date and now It's legs will be badly affected by the competition. What competition? The locally 3D-fied Ice Age 2 in a non-Summer date? Hercules 11 days later?
Archerdude
Overall box office slowing down...what happened to Into the Storm? The market used to be a gold mine for mindless, effects driven disaster flicks (think 2012, Day After Tomorrow)...is it just the post Summer blues finally catching up?
