The Avengers caused the Superhero explosion and now every superhero film will make more overseas than domestic handily.

That's the point. It made that much because of the 3D fever that was caused by Avatar. Its overseas ticket sales is most likely on par with POTC 2 and 3, and it's 3D that gave it an extra boost.

Hobbit 3 dates January 23; Mockingjay 1 pulled from January.

 

#1 2D among imports; #3 2D among all. 

How is that date, good or bad? I have read that New Year starts at February 19th so (correct me if I am wrong), the difference in relation to previous 2 parts is that TH3 will be released before New Year, what should mean a better gross probably in, maybe, its 3rd and 4th week. Is this correct?

First big foreign release in 2014, and not close to big local titles, better date than previous two.
