Frankly, i do not see that happening at all. China’s theatres won’t prioritise Avatar 2 over a domestic movie especially over on China’s most important holiday as this will undoubtedly cause a stir within the government halls. 
 

Remember when Avatar became the biggest movie of all time in China back in 2010? The government quickly issued a public reminder for all cinemas in the country to obey a quota requiring at least two-thirds of the movies they screen to be domestically made.

AVATAR is money,money is the things across every countryline and national,except the tribe in the Amazon forest,so if avatar can make more money,then IMAX Screen will give  to it

They are adjusting it with shows. May be less than $1M too if left with negligible shows. But, show counts are now atleast better than previously 2 shows/day.

It’s not always about money because if it was Marvel would not have been kept outside for so long. For China self sufficiency seems to be more important than money.

You really made a good point.

 

If Money had been the 1st Priority, we won't see censorship hurting release approval for multiple Imported Films whether it's a English or non-English Titles.

Will Titanic re-release in Mainland China?

 

假的啦，别乱传了，影响不太好。。。

 

大船重映不会上，因为福斯（迪士尼）压根就没来申请，进出口那里连盘都没有……

 

大船情人节唯一能上的办法，就是片方赶在年前立马去申请，然后年后光速过审走完流程批复，毕竟两回了都，东西几乎都是现成的，译制也不用做了，做完拷贝就直接发盘，不然想都别想，尤其是片方连申请都没申请。

 

还有一天就放假了，除了已经拿到的，其他基本都得等到年后了，别问，问了也不是说，还有最近谣言太多，现在传的基本上都是假的。

It really showed the immense potential of this franchise. Hopefully A2 will get a re release or something because it would definitely make some money.

Why on earth would China approve a wide re-release for Avatar 2 especially with lots of domestic and foreign movies coming down the pike?
