Actually avatar 2 has the highest occupancy rate among all top 10 releases. If the WOM of the new films are meh or average, avatar 2 should regain some decent amount of showtime easily. 1500++ shows on 2nd day of lunar new year is way better than I feared initially.

Avatar 2 won’t get a decent amount of shows over Spring Festival regardless of how other domestic films perform.

Avatar’s time is largely done in China. There are 8 new domestic films all jockeying for a bit of screen time, frankly I don’t see how Avatar is going to squeeze its way back onto premium screens.
