Yeah, it's legs have been good plus Maoyan score has risen to 9.0 which is higher than Thor Ragnarock. JL definitely is a hit in China.

For sure. Spain uses to love Pixar. And although the "Día de los muertos" is not a Spanish celebration (at least not a funny one) it is quite known here because of tradition. I think you can expect, at least, 15 milion from here

Given the International Box Office Tread is a bit of a miscellaneous, and the controversy around Frozen short attached to Coco seems to be very strong, I trow a couple of questions...

 

- is Disney attaching it everywhere, and also for two weeks only? I mean, there have been complains about it in other countries apart from north america? or will the short be attached internationally for the whole run everywhere except USA/Canada?

 

... and even if it is very bad received internationally, as it seems to be, will Disney show it in Japan before Coco? (remember Frozen made $250M in Japan ... and a bad Frozen short could damage the brand in Japan. Or maybe they are such huge Frozen's fan that they will swallow no matter what and will massively go to the theaters to see it).

Well, Coco opened #2 behind a local movie (though Coco is a familiar movie, and that's for saturday-sunday showings).

 

Also, Coco has been released in Spain with the mexican audio (not dubbed), and i don't know how will that affect (it's not the same "mexican audio with full mexican expressions", than a "spanish audio with mexican accent" and keeping the main typical mexican expressions only).

It is not a problem that "Perfectos desconocidos" opens big. There is enough market for both. Next week we have two national holidays (6th and 8th). And this is the Christmas animated film of the year. It will be big for sure.

 

And for the record, it is not something new to see a film dubbed with Mexican accent here. It is not the same situation, but until Franco's death (1975) we saw every Disney animated film dubbed by Mexican actors. I do not think that factor will be a problem.

In fact, some people in social net are saying that the mexican audio helps building up the story, since it is based in Mexico.

 

But there are also some teaser/trailer dubbed into spaniard accent (the firsts ones), but the  movie has been released with mexican accent. I wonder when and why they decided to keep the "original" audio instead of dubbing it. (imo, I think keeping the mexican accent is a wise choice) 

 

Also I wonder if all across latin america they will release the Ferdinand movie in spaniard accent (since it's a movie based in Spain) or they will dubbed it into mexican accent (that it's what will probably happen).
