If Mulan really hits all the right notes in China, it should perform like a top tier local film. I wouldn't be surprised at $500+ million, but that's assuming stellar reception/WOM. There's a lot that can go wrong too since this is a culturally sensitive film.

Not sure if that one was one or a dying multi billionaire that wanted to use a movie for a political/educational goal not mending the expense. Lot of movie are made without the notion of cash being made with them even being a remote possibility.

One day, another solo MCU movie will do truly spectacular at CBO. But it won’t be FFH.    

 

Still the best MCU solo performance in the past half dozen years, can’t really complain.
