Is Queen the Bollywood movie?

Yes.

 

I can't believe they can charge different prices for different films?

 

Here, they have prices jacked up at the beginning of the movie's run and then as it loses showtimes, screens and audience it goes down.

I wish they do that here. It really depends on the film. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 saw a $5 increase from the normal 3D blockbuster (Captain America 2, etc.) but Transformers 4 ticket pricing strategy is a huge anomaly. I still cannot figure out how it is $20-25 more expensive than The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

 

I see HK and China have a different degree of excitement for TF4.

Mmmm...I'd say they are pretty similar.

Very good number for Transformers 4. To nab nearly 50% as walk-ins for an almost 3 hour long movie is excellent IMO.

Transformers 4 opening day est. - $875,000 (non-holiday opening record)

Ticket prices being astronomically high will offset the lower admissions by Transformers 4. It will be close in terms of which movie gets the non-holiday opening record.

Maleficent and Z Storm held relatively well.

What's the current OW record in HK?

Iron Man 3 with $4,709,819. Transformers 4 will slaughter IM3's OW record.

Great opening day for Transformers 4. Maleficent is Angelina Jolie's 2nd biggest hit in HK. Whether or not it passes Kung Fu Panda 2 will be determined in the next few days. Good total for Z Storm. The Attorney is doing very well.

Time for something a bit different. Checking out Transformers 4 at iSQUARE in IMAX on Sunday, seats are filling up quickly. Incredible figures for Transformers 4. No 3 PM showtime seems to be little effect as those admissions have gone to either the 12 PM or 6 PM showtime. Even the midnight showing is selling quite a number of tickets.
