  1. That is so weird (and funny at the same time ). Looking at the BOM 2014 BO for Portugal, I realise it's just a bit bigger than Romania's and we are NOT a movie going country. I mean yeah, the population difference is about 8M, but the piracy here is a VERY BIG issue.
  2. I love this top: 1. Jennifer Love Hewitt 2. Megan Fox 3. Emma Watson 4. Evangeline Lilly 5. Angelina Jolie
  3. I love experimental and psychological movies and this was a little bit of both. The subject (drugs) was interesting to me and the actors were good. The ending left me easily uncomfortable and pissed which is good with this sort of movies and to watch the characters spiraling down in madness was just fascinating. B+
  4. This movie is the very definition of fantasy/adventure. The story is fascinating, just as the book, the acting is amazing (not surprising since we're talking Brendan Fraser), the effects were good and, the most important thing, it is a movie about books. Everytime I watch it... well, it makes me happy. A+
  5. Nice little horror movie. The idea is not original, the acting is not top notch but the final sequence is so good I can forgive all the flaws of this film. That maniacal laughter is the best, most entertaining thing I've ever seen in a horror movie. So perfect and fitting. B
  6. Nice numbers. TMNT might finish in second for the weekend and "If I Stay" will probably hit 20M, which is very good. I'm happy for Chloe Moretz, I really like her.
  7. Yeah, I watched some of PJ's Youtube videos about making TH. Really makes you appreciate things more.
  8. Just makes you think how much work goes into smth like TF, TH or Pirates.
  9. 200M. It's a good target and I think it'll be a pretty leggy movie.
  10. This really came as a nice surprise. Since my "to watch" TV shows (GoT, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Supernatural, Bates Motel, Elementary) are all on vacation I needed something to replace them and after a lot of "No, I won't watch this, it's like Twilight" and a lot of good reviews from a lot of people I decided to give it a chance. So I started the show almost two weeks ago and now I'm up to date with it. Yeah, I really dig it. And I was surprised no one made a thread for this. As for the seasons, I rate them like this: Season 1 - decent (the humor makes up for the cheesy moments) Season 2 - better than the first (again, lots of humor and better mithology) Season 3 (Part 1) - ok (it gets a little more mature-ish) Season 3 (Part 2) - fuckin brilliant! (a lot darker and psychological; for the first time I felt the series doesn't need humor to make up for it's mistakes) Season 4 (till now) - decent (comparing it to the first one it's and improvement, but after the second part of Season 3 it's fuckin disappointing) Discuss.
  11. So love this show. Also can't wait for the next season since Jennifer Love Hewitt will join the cast
  12. Really nice for top 2. I see both of them making around 16M for the weekend. Now that school began and both are family movies the drops should be smaller right?
  13. Now watching the opening scene. The soundtrack (Patrick Doyle is a bloody genius; the only soundtrack better than this is POA's one), the tone, the cinematography... its just astounding! Yeah, there are moments that could've been better, but it's fast pace is what makes it stand out. A+
  14. I think what you wanted to say was: "Meh C+"
  15. OK. Now I know you're trolling. Like in every HP thread.
  16. Well, why would you pay to see this kind of movies in a theatre? Probably they make good money from DVD, Bluray, VOD and a lot of money from TV reruns. There are a lot of sport fans out there.
  17. I don't care. I mean yeah, I'd like for the movies I love to make more money, but that's not the point. For me, a SH movie must be dark and violent and the villain MUST be a solid, threatening character. That's what I find fun in a CBM.
  18. I saw no thread for this and I though it would be a good idea. 'Tales from the Cryptkeeper' (the animated series) is my childhood in a nutshell. This show is the reason why I love horror movies so much, because for a 7-8 year old me, these cartoons were pure terror. Only later I found out there was a TV show first and watched it. So you can discuss both here.
  19. No. I'm very serious I think you misread my first post. I was saying that there is no way it only makes 110M off a 55M OW. I see it finishing around 125M.
