Noooo Travolta is being kicked out of the Dream Team. Hope he isn't done completely, he's the best thing in it by a mile.
I definitely will once I've finished this.
I'm watching the people v OJ Simpson. My knowledge of the case is almost non existent, this is really interesting. I had no idea it was so huge.
How the fuck did he get away with it. Also if Cuba Goodings bizarre performance even remotely resembles the real OJ, how did everyone find him so charismatic and heroic?
Oh and John Travolta is fucking magnetic.
Blade runner did exactly as expected, having just read a few predictions for the weekend I can't believe there were some people predicting 50+. 30M is fine... though I hadn't realised the budget was quite so high. Serves Sony right tbh.
Hope it does well, if WB continues to produce good quality genuinely family friendly LEGO movies then I think LEGO movies could become a strong brand in itself. And due to the number of pies LEGO has its fingers in and how many brands they have, they could make these endlessly.
apart from Dunkirk and It, what exactly is so 'cracking' about WB's year so far?
Wonder Woman did mediocre numbers. Lego Batman did fine but nothing remarkable. Kong was weak. King Arthur was a bomb.
Reminded me of how good T2 is, actually I enjoyed it vastly more than the first time I watched it.
On the other hand, it confirmed so solidly how useless 3D is. Really hate it.
Also I recommend seeing it in IMAX if you can spare the extra money, as I would with any 1.85:1 (16:9) movie as it fills the square IMAX screen, as opposed to most movies which are 2.35:1.
I'm not saying the movie has been a success, it evidently hasn't been a hit at the box office for whatever reason. What I'm saying is that I don't know why you'd criticise marketing towards demographics who are interested in the topic of your movie.
