I think IO's boxoffice performance is more mind-blowing to me, IO doesn't play it "safe" with some cute animals, and I really thought its abstract storytelling would alienate the audience. Nevertheless, Zootopia is an awesome movie and deserves the global success.

TFA debuts with almost 3mio Blurays sold.
3rd biggest first week, only behind Frozen and Avengers in terms of units, 2nd in $ behind Frozen!

TFA made more than $600M in Europe, divide both numbers and you get an average price of $15+ ...... seems a bit too high for me. So it should have had more admissions.
Rogue One will retain at least half of TFA's audience. Oh and Finding Nemo was a huge hit in 2003, so maybe FD a shot at becoming a huuuuge hit. Btw, will the UEFA Euro 2016 affect the film business in the way a big soccer tournament usually does in Germany?
I kind of expected decreasing numbers, the weather around here is fabulous. And it's really interesting to see that no superhero movie can break out in Germany, I mean something like 5M+ adm.
But it's going to overtake EP1 which has 8.962.516 admissions as the best performing Star Wars movie. If someone had told me this 2 years ago, I wouldn't have believed them.
It's like they want to benefit from Ford's potential death to have the Ledger/Walker bonus attached to this. I hope I didn't sound like a dick with this comment.

I don't know if this is the right thread to post it, here are the biggest movies 2015 in several countries in admissions, local currencies or $!
