  1. £14.99 and however many 3D films take an extra £1.50.
  2. It's usually twice a year I make it up there. Which i've managed for Sucker Punch and Transformers thus far. When it's nearly two hours on a train and costs 20 quid return it's difficult to make it there often. Touch wood i'll get there for MI4 as well.
  3. I could do with them opening one up in Crawley, the closest one to me atm is real IMAX at the BFI.
  4. Just found out Cineworld are buying in to the IMAX biz from Dec 21st in Edinburgh, with two more to open early next year in Sheffield and Nottingham. Will the IMAX digital roll out pick up pace even quicker now that we have a second chain getting in on it? http://www.cineworld.co.uk/news/308/detail
  5. Woah! Nice jump for Hugo. Lets hope it can keep getting stronger over the weekend.
  6. Green Lantern extended and Unknown. Blockbuster rock for preowned BD's. Have TT3D coming through in the next couple of days. Cannot wait!
  7. Anyone else notice that The Descendants outgrossed Avatar's entire run on weds
  8. It was sub 10 quid so I could factor it in to my budget
  9. Never watched it, but my mum loves it. I've bought her the first series on BD for christmas, so i'll probably watch it soon.
  10. Two that I had to take notice of because it was impossible to miss them online were ROTS and TDK, impossible to escape those two at all. For WW, probably ROTK or DHII. In the UK I have to add Quantum of Solace to the mix, every single photo that was released made in to every newspaper I could see. Bond is always a big deal here, but QoS was something else in the lead up.
  11. Considering it's place in history, it's strangely small.
  12. I refer to it as hell, but most refer to it as Hastings.
  13. I can't i'm afraid. Even though I live in one of the most famous towns in history, the closest cinema showing it is nearly 30 miles away.
  14. Wow, definitely looking like Marilyn has the widest release this week, followed by 50/50, then Dream House and finally Moneyball. Sucks that 50/50 isn't wider as I really want to see it.
  15. That and Secretariat. Wtf is up with those numbers?
  16. Arthur Christmas 2D11/19/201114:00130/150Trailers:Puss in Boots - couple of laughsHappy Feet 2 - little bit of talkChipmunks - some chatterPirates! - Next to nothingMovie:Hideously average. Completely and utterly average. It's just, there. Nothing remarkable, or groundbreaking, or memorable. I'm guessing my crowd were of a similar opinion as there were next to no laughs during the film and only a bit of muttering on the way out. Seemed like most were there because at this point they are conditioned to show up.C Immortals 3D11/19/1116:1075/150£1.50Trailers:Coca Cola Ad - couldn't help including it because it got a round of applause. What the fuck?!Snow white and the huntsman - silence, looks wickedHolmes 2 - silenceThe darkest hour - noutUnderworld - some talkingMovie:I Loved it. Lovely and gory, completely bad ass and rediculously entertaining. The guys sat next to me who were around the same age seemed to agree with me, but the couple in front of me seemed unimpressed.B+
  17. Hugh Laurie is just amazing, and every episode of that series is pure gold. Especially the last one with Stephen Fry as Wellington. Genius!
  18. Blackadder (especially the third series)South ParkRed DwarfFuturamaTrue Blood
  19. Apes to win, you'd never believe that every ape was CGI. I'm up for an outside bet on a BD 1 nom, what they did to make bella look like she was on death's door was more impressive to me than CA.
  20. I doubt it will get nominated, but I loved the score from Thor, it felt grand and epic to me. And had a very catchy heroic tune that keeps getting stuck in my head. RotPotA is another one that I loved but will likely not get a nom. But the academy will he stupid if they don't nominate DHII, that score was sublime, affecting, epic and a grand cresendo to a series that has had some ups and downs with its scoring.
  21. I've always taken issue with this film. All the raves that it's a realistic depiction of life out there were bollocks. I may never have been to Iraq, but my dad was there when Saddam reared his ugly head the first time around. It's actually as generic, and uninspired as 90% of other war films, and I still don't get why this had all the hype and won best picture. Should have gone to the Basterds (even though Avatar was my personal favourite). There are some things the film does right, scenes with bonb diffusion are well done and intense, but as a character I absolutely Loathed Renner. Which basically makes it hard to enjoy the film.
