  1. The other 3 were all released on wednesdays as well if i'm not mistaken. They definitely were in the US.
  2. I can see this doing a tremendous belly flop. Well, more I hope it does, the first one pissed me off for some reason that I STILL don't know.
  3. Four Lions, i'm pretty sure I stopped breathing at one point.
  4. I dunno about Spidey, theres never the level of excitement I feel there should be when he gets released here. Barring the whole 12 to 12A fiasco from back when the original came out (Still think BBFC dropped the ball there, all the numbered rating should follow the same practice in my eyes)
  5. The surprise for me was the strength of Motorsport documentaries here. TT3D beating the million mark, and Senna becoming the third biggest doc ever here. Nice to see people coming out to support pics like this.Other surprises? Bridesmaids besting the original hangover for sure, Inbeteeners sheer size up front (did ANYONE think it was going to be THAT big THAT fast?). What else? The fact Tangled is STILL the biggest animated film of the year has to count somewhere. Cars 2's exceptionally mediocre run, worse than I think anyone was expecting. I have to admit, Apes' launch was bigger than I was expecting by about double.Besides that, there haven't been a great deal of surprises really, Harry Potter was destined to annhialate as many records as it could, pirates, hangover and transformers all did pretty much as expected as well.
  6. I love the average ticket price column per film for china. More films need this!
  7. Let Me In or Piranha. Piranha was campy, gory, and tremendous fun, while Let Me In was thoughtful and tremendously well acted. Tough to choose. I'll go with Let Me In.
  8. Hmm. The Hangover, American Pie 2 or Brüno. All three make me laugh constantly!
  9. The Smurfs and Hangover 2 came through today. Can't wait to watch The Smurfs again
  10. Shame that Hugo didn't do better. But dear god did I love it.How much do you guys see Harold and Kumar doing?
  11. Plus Flop of the Year has already been won by MnM
  12. Too right animated films should be counted. KFP2 and Rango were stunning! In fact Rango was almost photoreal in places to me.
  13. Huzzah, these guys showed some love for Senna, unlike the fucking oscar shortlist.
  14. 1 The Hunger Games2 The Pirates!3 Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol4 The Dark Knight Rises5 Titanic 3D6 Phantom Menace 3D7 Beauty and the Beast 3D (not much of a pattern here )8 American Reunion9 The Avengers10 Men in Black 3
  15. It was always going to be an 18, the Swedish version was as well. It all pertains to the rape scene, which knowing fincher will be even more difficult to watch than the Swedish version.
  16. No one had made that clear before I posted that. By the sounds of some of these deals, Fast Five could jump a bit.
  17. I think Real Steel's got a good chance at a nom, the CGI intergration is just as good as RotPotA, but falls down in it's lack of apes
  18. I forgot about Gremlins! It's so awesome!
