This is my first ranked list participation (CB based my 2nd and last so far), but I read that §$%& you all had to go through, I guess that too influenced me to post it. I do not have an outlook account neither (I do not use any email on a pc program, I do not save emails on m pc...., I write directly in the mails within my mail account provider) - my phone's very few ~ apps I got per another persons's .live account, since then I never updated. Nor do I use google for anything beside searching (I mostly use duckduckgo) and YT Thank you a lot for the suggestion still, it does help to get a picture 😉 As long as its simple to get the data into .doc and .xls.... I am fine. The kind of files I'd use on such a device are rather simple ones, fingers crossed. As I wont throw away the notebook....

Ahh, interesting. Do you know if a 2nd generation ipad pro 12.9" (with a matching Logitech keyboard) is good for surfing/writing posts here, reading books, watching Netlix or similar, itunes TV series + movies? A pencil recommendable? I read some remarks a pen helps with the screen not getting problems??? Is there something recommendable as an alternative to Office 365? I've seen an app called 'files' that seems to be able, but its so cheap (around $6) I am not sure if its only an add on to something else. I have no problem to pay once for a software, but I refuse that ~ rent version Adobe, e.g. Office 365. and ... nowadays do. I create, write and edit .doc .xls and .pdf files, but can do those also on the notebook or pc if there is no alternative. I am searching through YT clips for the moment, I seem to use wrong search terms, the most clips for now only gush about the ipads, no real information

nope, to reach such a page count only per filling the pages with such kind of posts... = not right, and annoying in my POV its a saying, like to use that possibility more, it helps. I added that last new one on my ignore list too I am already on page 2 since a time with the ignore list here at BOT. Quite a lot of those are fans of movies I actually love, but the 'fans' are behaving too much like trolls. At other boards/forums I very rarely have anyone or maybe more than one on my ignore list.

I never had anything from Apple beside, as said, since recently itunes, and in the past one of my software demanded a quicktime installed. I even never had an iphone,... in my hands (Also never anything connected with google/android (and wont ever buy anything like that)) Mobiles are an old blackberry (not in use for the moment), and actual in use an old-ish Windows Lumia that works perfectly fine for me. I usually do not use it to surf (only for trying out sometimes), nor for emails and such with a mobile. Here in Germany its in my POV too expensive and slow, especially as I am living in countryside region, at a few places without connections. I still will have my notebooks at home and at work, plus a workstation tower I use as needed. Thanks you for the hints, I'll try to find out were I can find out more about the apps available in Germany for an ipad pro. Location seems to be a restriction for that too.

huhhh I guess its usus to post also the lists here, not only to PM? As said, its a most liked / best combi. Best would have been very short. I didn't like Star Wars 1, movies like Notting Hill do not appeal to me at all, Blair Witch Project neither, and a lot of others whose story or genre or... do not click with me in general since some decades. Can't stand Tom Cruise, I think he had more than one in that year, those I all refuse to watch (he is the only actor I recognise every time... by feeling literally a bit nauseatic/queasy) Some movies like The Straight Story I sadly missed, not sure if it was shown in one of my countryside cinemas here... 'My' 1999: The 13th Warrior Run Lola Run Buena Vista Social Club The Matrix The Green Mile Sixth Sense The Insider Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai Boys Don't Cry Galaxy Quest (one of the few comedy titles I like) The Thomas Crown Affair The World is Not Enough (that one is at the limit) All what comes 'deeper' (I hope I've not missed a title) I'd not add to a best nor a liked list. To me it makes no sense to add for the count, if the title is seen as bad, annoying, boring or whatever.

I hope the next time any movie nears any record-holder we will get an own xxx-movie appreciation thread, so there the people who feel the need to derail a movie's thread can celebrate their focus. Not like fandom wars in dom, but more short-lived (like packed away a few months after 'something' happened) and definitive with good manners.

I have seen a lot (excluding animated, horror, ~ romance), but wouldn't add even all of the blockbusters (in parts especially the blockbusters) on a top list of 1999, no matter if best quality or most loved/liked. It feels so strange to see all the opposite sounding posts here.

It was another time, too many details varied since then, it makes no sense at all to compare in such a way (in my POV it makes no sense to compare at all) It would have been nice if you'd read my last sentence. Maybe this helps: This is not the Titanic thread, we all here know what Titanic managed (and other movies), we all are very aware about how a lot of details play into how to perceive certain details. All of them got repeated here for at least ~ a hundred times (it feels like way more) I can understand to a degree the wish to look into where another movie is still higher placed or whatever, especially around the time a record gets achieved (or nearly achieved), but the record is down, all is said, its done. Lets get back to AEGs OS / ww BO! If details arise I am very interested into HV, digital... details worldwide, even merchandising. After so many OT here, so many derailments... its enough in my POV. Like since a way too long time. I gave the chart only to show why the sole population argument should get buried, like now and forever.

In Germany we us comma and dots in the opposite way as in the US 1950 it went upwards, the worst of the war aftermaths was done 1956 = 817.5m admissions, the highest recorded after the war ~ 1960 television started here to have an impact, 10 years after the first station opened people bought in high numbers TV (prices got more reasonable, people were back from earning to survive / rebuild to actually having some spending money). Cinema admissions down down down, beside the population increased and the people earn enough spending money for a cinema. But also for computers, consoles, games, smartphones, home theatres, music, travelling, high quality food, 3rd car for a family,.... '80/'90 home video starts to have an impact (VHS developed in 1976 in Japan) Population increased from ~ 64m after the war to ~ 72m in 1960 Today its ~ 83m. Last year was still a bad year.... Only to show why a sole 'but the population increased!' argument is not making a lot of sense. I am getting so tired of those 'need to find anything to bring not needed comparisons' into a movies OS thread

Is here someone who uses apple devises and and a pc? I have no experience at all with apple beside using itunes since recently on a windows notebook. Ipad pro 12.9" (used, not the actual generation) = something good for surfing, audio-books, movies, TV-series and such? It seems to be small (I am used to bigger laptops), but offering a rather clear picture Someone I know (not nearby) offered me a used one that seems to be rather very cheap in comparison to the ebay offers for a used one with the same abilities. Need something stable that wont run so hot like my old notebook does even if only reading/writing here at BOT. As I nowadays rather often sleep at work, something to watch movies or TV-series would be nice - for that the size/weight looks like to be a plus. = that detail means using it in bed. Cooling a problem? Also ibooks seems possible (ibooks is the only itunes thing that wont work on a pc it seems, at least in my country). I actually do not know anyone nearby who owns an ipad. Allows their OS something like ccleaner? Is it secure in the meaning of see why I never would buy anything with windows 10 on it, as they 'ask' for too much in my POV. I am aware its not a full computer, what can it not do that would be typical for a notebook? Any help would be appreciated

it had another director as actor as well: Charles Martin Smith, who did some movies and e.g. Buffy S01E01 (what I guess you did watch 😉 ) Richard Dreyfuss had some experience as well, I see quite some more experienced names on that list

I think so too, but with the males he seemed to have at least spoken sometimes. My impression is, he was even worse with (young) actresses (I think she worded it like he didn't know what to do with her and the character, like she was the obligatory female and that was it), but he is in general the opposite of an actor director.
