Fences - December 16th release, goes wide on Christmas

Now this is some FINE bait -
Yeah, I've watched 5 cm too. I agree with that assessment. The concept of Your Name sounds intriguing so I wonder if it his strongest work yet. Have heard a lot about Garden of Words too. He is no Miyazaki, Takahata or Kon but I'm happy that he is finding this kind of success. As for Hosoda, I've only watched Wolf Children, which was great. I've heard the rest of his work have their flaws so didn't prioritize watching them yet.

How weird is it that just seeing the poster of Your Name made me instantly remember The Place Promised In Our Early Days, a film I had completely forgotten watching about six years back. And turns out they are from the same director! Looks like I should visit the rest of Makoto Shinkai's filmography.

The only instance that comes to mind is when Disney trolled Don Bluth and re-released The Little Mermaid when Anastasia released, way back in 1997. I have a strong feeling Disney will pull the "Sing Along version" card from its sleeve for Moana a little after Sing releases. Sooner than they did it for Frozen.

It's virtually the same multiplier as IM2 lol, the SS equivalent of the MCU (third entry of interconnected universe) and had even opened a little lower than Squad. IM2 doesn't even have the pardon of being an "non-entity property at the time" like IM1, it was supposed to be the hotly anticipated sequel.

Ron Howard too. Regarding Ben, I see grey ghost may have been talking specifically about actors who almost completely retire acting for directing, but if Affleck decides to make that choice, there's nothing to suggest from his past directorial efforts that he wouldn't succeed. -
