Wednesday: Hangover 3 ($3.1m Wed+Thu sneaks), STID 5.3M, TGG 2.3M, IM3 2.2M

Recommended Posts

If it follows TH2, which isn't foolproof because the Thursday date was announced in advance, TH3 might not reach 10M today.

I'm sure that's been said here already.

Judging by cinemas with reserved seats, it doesn't look that great for Hangover, but comedies are walk up movie, so we'll have to see.

But really, I wouldn't be surprised if Fast 6 previews came in much closer to Hangovers thursday numbers (excl. midnights), than some would have thought.

I just got back from a morning show, not a lot of people, but it included one person of the easily amused variety. Save for the end credits sequence which had him annoyingly guffawing, even his laughing was subdued throughout most of it. I think audience reactions are even more subdued than they were for Hangover 2.

I mentioned this in the weekend predictions thread, but I counted up the Saturday showtimes for the 3 big theaters around me, and I got:

Hangover 3 - 53

Fast & Furious 6 - 37

Epic - 34 (19/15)

STID - 51 (36/15)

IM3 - 19 (15/4)

Great Gatsby - 17 (12/5)

42 - 1

(2D/3D split)

After reading this in a different thread, I checked mine as well. Shame on theater chains! Didn't realize Furious 6 was a bigger draw I guess.
