Not a fan personally but to say Julia Roberts has 15 minutes of fame...

*Shakes head*

That is not at all what I said.

She was huge when she was the lead in romantic comedies mostly.

Forgot Erin Brokovich & Sleeping with the Enemy but my point still stands, Julia Roberts became a huge star with romantic comedies.

All Roberts biggest hits are romantic comedies and she stopped being huge somewhere in the 2000's precisely when she stopped doing them.

Not all. Erin Brockavich, Sleeping With the Enemy, and The Pelican Brief are all over 100m.

This is what you said

Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon, Katherine Heigl, Anne Hathawy, they all had their 15 minutes of being the darling of america in a romantic comedy.

You said she had 15 minutes of fame. I think that's what most people take issue with.

You mean when she won the oscar for best actress in that 125 million dollar grossing romantic comedy Erin Brockovich?

I get not liking Roberts but to compare with Katherine Heigl is ridiculous.

Agreed.  If there was anyone who ever defined 15 minutes of fame, its her.

I give up.

The point is you cannot be a big female star without a huge romantic comedy breakout.

there.

You counter examples won't change that fact.

So you are saying that there will never be a female action star the way men are?

Sure, I agree.  But why does that even matter?

She got Brokovich because she was a huge star thanks to her romantic comedies and she had premium on any script in Hollywood at that time.
