Cmasterclay
I agree that people can watch whatever they like, I disagree that they can't be judged on it. Why should people be judged for movie taste? That's nothing political or social- it's just what people like to spend their money on and be entertained by.
Sam
I liked Turbo. Good fun movie. Fuuny in parts too. In your opinion, who gave the best voice performance? I'm very curious about Snoop Dogg I wasn't interested in watching Turbo at all, but I found out just now that SamJack is in it (talk about total obliviousness ) I might just check it out next week. efialtes76
Turbo was 75% full at 1pm and got applause at the end. Not sure what 5 day will be but legs might be good. You liked it?
baumer
I have no idea if my audience and theater will be typical for Turbo but it was busy and well liked.

Dark Prince
Amazing jump for MU 250m by the end of Sunday! Pacific Rim is not catching any breaks. Will be tough climb to 100m. And nice to see the Heat doing so well. Hopefully it can out gross GU2.
Sims
Very bad for PR. If it has one of the larger drops in the Top 10 today it's doomed. Edited July 17, 2013 by Sims
Moviefanatic
PR literally had nothing going for it in terms of attracting the GA. The trailers weren't impressive. They showed lumbering giant robots punching big ugly monsters in nighttime scenes. They didnt emphasize the human relationships, emotions or humor to bring in females/family They didnt have a recognizable actor or director with crossover appeal. There were no money shots that would make people go "whoa i need to see that". Robots vs monsters is a very nich concept with a small fanbase, and WB did a terrible job with marketing. Say what you want about Transformers but those guys did a masterful job advertising those movies. They put the cool cars, the hot girl, the funny lines, the epic scale and the sam-bumblebee relationship at the forefront. And plus they had a notorious director at the helm. Look at this trailer:its like a 100times more exciting than anything PR put in its trailers yet DOTM is a worse movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHRf01Gjosk Don't blame the GA for Pac Rim failing. Blame WB for not giving them enough reason to go see it. Great post and including that epic trailer is an instant like.

GU2, imo will stall out at about 125-130.
baumer
WWZ The East crossed 2Mil I'm really disappointed in The East. I really wish they would of had more confidence in it and gave it a semi wide release. I still haven;t seen it and it is number one on my list to do so. filmnerdjamie
GU2, imo will stall out at about 125-130. Typical Sandler #. Fact its coming off two flops is a win with that gross. Grown Ups 3 sits in his back pocket if he needs it again.
ALayrisson
Star Trek making it to 225 this week makes me happy. Not as high as I was hoping for, but its good legs are undeniable. Now just give 3 a good release date in 2016 (50th anniversary) and it will do numbers people were expecting STiD to achieve. Lets not forget its by far the highest rated big summer movie by audiences on RT, 92%. Edited July 17, 2013 by Witness
