This is gonna be the most disappointing movie of all time isn't it?

At this point I don't care if The Interview is hilarious or a steaming pile of crap. The fact that it's going to see the light of day despite the worst wishes of some anonymous assholes should be a sign to the rest of the world that we won't take this bullshit.

This makes zero sense. What idiot would put together a massive, international government involving (and surely illegal if true) marketing campaign like this, only to lose most of their theaters, not have a wide release, and make less money than they would having this go wide and bomb?

Like...really? This makes sense to you? Even if somehow it goes wide, how could anyone plan this out?

A colossal dumbass. . .

But yeah, this conspiracy theory stuff is just silly.

About 10 to 15 minutes from my house as well. Ironically playing at a theater that has cheap tickets, especially by California standards. I should probably fandango my ticket since it is likely to sell out on Christmas. On another note, this theater is also one of those small theaters that pretty much plays popular films so it is funny to see a film like The Interview not going wide and not exactly playing at true Indie theaters. Well, some are in spirit, but this theater isn't one of those theaters.

Actually, that's pretty much what mine is too lol. Just a popular theater that's a midwestern chain!

My theory: James Franco IS Kim Jong Un.

He was on soap opera after all...surely he could pull that off.

It's what he would do.

“Sometimes I get a little sad, and I feel like being alone. Then I talk to my cat about it, and he reminds me I’m James Franco. Then we dance.”

The surprise salvage of The Interview’s release started with emails amid the chaos of Sony’s hacking crisis, sent between Alamo Drafthouse impresario Tim League, Tim Massett of Florida’s Sun-Ray Cinema, and George R.R. Martin. Yes, that George R.R. Martin, bestselling Game Of Thrones author and owner of the single-screen Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
