Honestly, I don't see how this negatively affects worldwide. Pretty much anyone who wanted to see the movie will either rent on buy it from those services.

Ironically, you can't search for The Interview on fandango. They want nothing to do with it. However, you can order tickets. You just can't search for the movie itself. You actually have to know what theaters are playing it.

Bad idea. Digital release means HD quality rips available in the internet in minutes. Sony should have waited till atleast a month and see how much it could earn in its limited release. With the massive publicity it would have got something decent.

HD rips should be available in the next hour. I imagine they'll be everywhere by the morning.

My brother works at Microsoft, they just got an internal email about the release via XBox, it has the words (and I'm not kidding) "Microsoft believes in freedom of expression and to ensure that this attack on our liberties is not taken lightly we stand with Sony and will release this to show that we will never back down"
