Ezen Baklattan
2. INDIANA JONES (373 Points) The Films -Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) -Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom (1984) -Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade (1989) -Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) “Why did it have to be Snakes?” The textbook definition of fun is where you’ll find not a picture of Indiana Jones, but the definition of “fun,” which Indiana Jones fits perfectly. His adventures in exotic locales and beating bad guys to fantastical, yet often face meltingly dangerous treasure. Sometimes, there were even aliens, much to the cries of “George Lucas has raped my childhood!” But let’s have a little reminder of what made your childhood so awesome in the first place! Harrison Ford is completely into his character, and the set pieces and action scenes are always compelling. It’s one of the most consistently exciting film worlds that even been created, and it confuses me that anyone couldn’t find something not to love about these films. (Even KOTCS had some good stuff to it.) It’s a wonderful world that offers an incredible amount of thrills and fun. It’s one of those movies that just needs to be experienced in one way or another. FUN FACT: Tom Selleck was initially going to be Indiana Jones, mainly on Lucas’s desire, but he could not take the part due to conflicts in filming Magnum P.I.. Ironically, Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers, has the titular characters designed off of Indiana Jones and Magnum P.I.
Ezen Baklattan
Which means... 1. STAR WARS (441 Points) The Films (Original Trilogy) -Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) -Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) -Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983) The Films (Prequel Trilogy) -Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) -Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) -Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005) “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away” The original trilogy of Star Wars changed film forever. Another epic battle of good against evil, this time set in deep in a galaxy far away rather than a Fantasy realm, was formed in the mind of George Lucas. The original saga showed young Luke Skywalker teaming up with various allies and fighting against the evil of Darth Vader, a sinister Sith lord, with a startling relationship to our hero. In the end, he manages to overcome the forces of evil and restore balance to the force. It’s a fantastic crowd pleaser for a very clear reason. The prequel trilogy focuses on what life was like before the events of the films, naturally, particular the rise of the young Anakin Skywalker as the forces of evil consume him, turning him into iconic villain Darth Vader. To say that this series was not as well liked as the first would be putting it lightly. Fans of the series, and several critics, really tore these movies apart, especially The Phantom Menace and its creation of the widely-loathed Jar Jar Binks. But as we have asked before in this thread: Can some bad films really discount the great ones? The answer is no. Star Wars was still an incredible world that has created a greater impact on our pop culture than any other film series has. With a new vision (and new director) coming in 2015 under the distribution of the mouse house, we all have high hopes for it. It has inspired us, made us cheer, and did so much more to impact several lives. Here’s to this glorious saga, for all its flaws, beauty, and wonder. FUN FACT: This was all a plot to grab extra likes before I left for college. It was totally worth it.

The Stingray
Star Wars at #1. Shocker! But I don't get it though. How can you place Star Wars as your number one, when the series includes two abominations in the forms of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones?
