keysersoze123
cine-directors is predicting 1.24M OW admissions for france. what was TF3 OW?
Michael Seng Wah
But you said it had a record OW in Malaysia.... Yep, the opening weekend was an all-time record. Leg was good for the second weekend but terrible for the third weekend. However, ASM2 had the worst leg. IM3 benefited from the stronger local currency rate and better legs. I agree with KATCH 22, they are pretty close in USD. If the legs for TF4 is not improving, it will trail behind IM3 both in RM and USD. first weekend second weekend third weekend IM3 $4.7mil $11.05mil (-42.4%) $12.7mil (-59.4%) / RM37.7mil (1USD = RM2.98) TF3 $4.9mil $8.9mil (-52.6%) $10.4mil (-62.8%) TF4 $6.67mil $10.96mil (-59.7%) $12.4mil (-72%) / RM39.4mil (1USD = RM3.18)

KATCH-2D2
no,its no typo.......weekedays. plus the weekend should be over 100mill again due to the new openers?right? No. Weaker weekdays plus the new markets aren't very TF friendly.

baumer
There's no way it has a 150 million dollar week.
Fullbuster
Brazil will have the biggest OW among these new openers, around 13m-14m,maybe more. That's quite big given TF isn't a strong franchise there.
Fake
Chinese number was significantly underestimated last week.
zackzack
There's no way it has a 150 million dollar week. I am thinking $850M to $870M WW by end of this weekend
Hernan Gonzalez
Screendaily: "Transformers: Age Of Extinction remains the one to beat at the current international box office. The sci-fi has grossed more than $577m and should have little trouble sweeping past $650m by Sunday, with new releases set for Germany, France, Italy and Brazil." Michael Seng Wah
It must gross over $850mil by Sunday, to lock 1bil.
KATCH-2D2
It must gross over $850mil by Sunday, to lock 1bil. Meaning it has to make another$100mil week WW? I'd be pretty impressed if it could.
James
Meaning it has to make another$100mil week WW? I'd be pretty impressed if it could. Total Lifetime Grosses Domestic: $215,377,745 27.2% + Foreign: $577,400,000 72.8% = Worldwide: $792,777,745 It's already at almost 800M. I cant see it missing 850M.

alphpicasso
Total Lifetime Grosses Domestic: $215,377,745 27.2% + Foreign: $577,400,000 72.8% = Worldwide: $792,777,745 If you look closely at Box Office Mojo's TF4's foreign gross, China's total stands at $262.6M when it ought to be an est. $293.5M as of July 17. If that is the case, the foreign total should be at least $607M at present. Add domestic take of $215M, the cume should be at least $823M by now. I guess passing $900M is easy after this weekend. Awesome!

Trans4mers did $118.5m WW last weekend, even though the World Cup Final was last Sunday. Now it stands at $792.8m WW as of Wednesday. Taking in account it opens in 4 Big Markets this Weekend (Italy, Germany, France and Brazil, where it already did $10m in previews), I think it should hit $900m WW by Sunday, or at least get very close!!
alphpicasso
China's total is already at an est. $296.3M as of Fri (July 18). For sure, it will hit the unprecedented $300M this weekend. Add most likely $2M for Friday's domestic take, it's at least $828M going into the weekend. $900M is a lock for this weekend. Yes!
