Hernan Gonzalez
That Colombia opening seems insane. Mexico too, but it was expected.Totally agree! That Colombia OW is hard to believe. Only 5 or 6 movies did more than $10m in total in that market. It is like doing $300m OW DOM
baumer
That was fast.. considering it took TASM2, CAP2 and DOFP forever to reach 700m. The only major markets left are Germany, France, Brazil and Japan. Can it do well there? Austria, Italy and Spain as well. The third part did 27 mill in those three territories. And they made one or two weekends of previews in almost every place.

zackzack
It opens tomorrow in France! That will destroy the prospect of Dragon 2 there. Too bad for Dreamworks, the studio that used to bring the Transformers movies....
Fake
I doubt TF4 will 'destroy' anything. Don't see it opening more than 8-9m so HTTYD2 should be fine.
Michael Seng Wah
It dropped hard in Msia last weekend, 73%. Apes was #1 but not a good opening as well. Current: RM39.5mil, it will finish somewhere around RM42-44mil, slightly behind all-time #1 Iron Man 3's RM45mil. Too bad.

IM3 was kids friendly and got boosted by TA goodwill VS TF4 with possibly the worst WOM for a blockbuster ever. The numbers are probably look very close in USD.

elyccia
at Paris 14h, for the opening day, transformers did 2819 admissions. It's not really good if you compare with TF3 which did 5139 admissions... aactually tf4 is the worst start of the franchise at paris at 14pm. It's just paris at 14pm. No doubt he will be the first of the week but for now it's a low start for TF4 in the french capital. http://leboxofficepo...e-la-franchise/ Edited July 16, 2014 by pupuceplus

It just isn't their cup of tea.

Tower
That was expected, the UK could be its only great performance in Europe. The UK isn't doing very well either, Transformers 3 was at 31.6M after a 7.6M weekend. Transformers 4 is at 20.1M after a 6.3M weekend, so it will make considerably less.
