I think Lupita was better but considering golden globes, Jen's star status and the AH love at the oscars, I wouldn't be surprised at all if she won. 

I've been thinking that Jen gets the Globes and Lupita gets the Oscars. I'm happy with Jen winning cause she is awesome, but in this case Lupita deserves it more because she was better IMO.

American Hustle may have this. The techs didn't support 12 Years enough and the actors and writers came through for AH (which didn't happen for Gravity).

No way Jennifer should win. Lupita was beyond incredible. The Academy would be a bunch of sex crazed fucks if they gave the award to Jennifer.

WOLF got huge noms! Best picture, director, actor,and screenplay! Shouldve also got cinematography, but those 4 are good enough. Theres hope after all. You got it right, Academy.

I'm probably beginning to sound like a Hustle apologist, so to counter that: it being nominated for Best Screenplay is ridiculous. According to all the actors, most of the lines were made up on the day of the shoot, as befits Russell's style.
