They should just bring back Marty Campbell if they have to do another Craig one, and do it by 2019. Dude's probably available and he directed the best Craig Bond/top three Bond ever.

Wouldn't be a bad idea. He's in his 70s but he just proved with The Foreigner that he's still got it.

Yeah, Campbell is a good director overall;he was just not the right choice for "Green Lantern".

He pretty much came to the rescue twice when the Franchise was having problems "GOldeneye" which had to be a big hit;the franchsie had been in limbo for Six Years and had been declared dead by many people, and it also had to cope with the Cold War having ended during the hiatus. The Choice to embrace the end of the COld War an make it a major plot point instead of avoiding it was genius.

And "Casino Royale" was a total reboot of 007,and had to undo the damage caused by "Die Another Day".

How likely are though to hire the direct competition? And I don't see Cruise or Paramount being happy to losing McQ to Bond. It's like JJ moving from Trek to Wars.

Didn't he strongly say he was done with the MI ?

I stand corrected, that had a December release date.

But Licence to Kill was the last with a summer release date.

After all Man From Uncle was such a huge spy movie success....

MfU 66%, Spectre 63% RT

We are talking BO, not RT, and Spectre made a hell of a lot more then MfU.

MfU was a box office flop; Spectre did over 800 Million at the box office and made large profits.

From Licence to Kill to Goldeneye it was 6 years.

True. The state of the franchise was also involved in a lawsuit which delayed things.

This would be the first lengthy delay since they resumed production with Goldeneye and no legal entanglements.
