It's not really like Damon's storyline in Interstellar at all. Part of the reason it's such a compelling book is that Damon's character is of such good-humor and cheer throughout it- it's a survival story, not an isolation one. I hope Damon brings back some of the everyman charm he's so good at but has lacked recently.

Ridley Scott is an overrated director, from what I've seen of his.

It's hard to get excited for this when all of his films since Robin Hood were the ones that were like, "Okay, THIS TIME will revive Ridley Scott's Career!", but the story does seem legitimately interesting.

Matchstick Men and American Gangster are really good and underrated Scott films.

Great cast, great writer.....and Ridley Scott. I can only hope for the best. Doesn't usually happen with Scott but it's got Chastain so I'll be there regardless.
