Kvikk Lunsj
Ever since I was little I loved film and would watch the morning news in elemantary school to see what the reviews where for movies. So I can not really say what single. If I had to say a couple movies it would be 101 Dalmatians, Dumbo, and Batman 1989. I loved movies so much. When I was a baby if a movie was in the room I would not cry or talk I would just focus on the movie. My said I watch 101 dalmatians and Dumbo a lot as a kid. BiffMan
Star Wars is the first movie I can remember seeing in the theater and was amazing, but Star Trek II was the one that really hooked me on the theater experience and had me aware of upcoming movies and wanting to see more, more, more. Seeing Khan as a 12 year old in a packed theater with folks laughing and whooping along with the movie was just an awesome experience. Rudolf
Conan the BarbarianIt was the first movie my mom recorded off of HBO when we got a VCR. It was the first "Adult" movie that I had seen to that point. It was all kiddie stuff before that. After that I was completely hooked. That was the movie that got me into Bodybuilding. I wanted to look like him.

4815162342
The first movies I remember seeing aside from Disney animated films were the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films. Those were the ones that sparked my interest in movies. Edited May 24, 2012 by 4815162342

Accursed Arachnid!™
Star Wars OT, Close Encounters, Raiders, Superman 1/2, E.T. Star Trek II, For Your Eyes Only, Airplane!. Still think that stretch between 77-83 is unmatched(Some were HBO/TV, obviously). If I had to pick one, it would probably be E.T.
CJohn
I saw King Kong (2005) in theaters. It was my first big experience. After that it was Ice Age 2 in March, and Eight Below and The Wild in April. In that year I started to go from time to time. Before King Kong, I would barely go to the movies at all (before that I only remember the Harry Potter movies, tbh). By the time Christmas 2006 arrived, I was already going to the movies almost every week. Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Superman Returns were the big push over that Summer, and Casino Royale and Eragon made the connection on that Christmas. After that, I started to go every week to the movie. Edited May 24, 2012 by CJohn
Lumos
Titanic. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this movie.I probably watched the film once a week for about 2 years back in the late 90's. I also really liked The Prince of Egypt....
BiffMan
Titanic hooked me on Box Office tracking, but I was already 28 when it came out and well hooked on movies by that time. :-)
MasterDodsen
I agree, Titanic is what got me on Box Office, but the Star Wars movies is what got me on loking going to the theater to see movies.
