The Costner/Reitman combo couldn't work its magic. Shame it's not 1993 anymore.

I predicted the movie would only have a 10 million OW a week ago.  The studio executives would rather lose potential profits by tossing out yet another movie starring an older, White male when there are already too many of them.  Would have been a nice slot to put an intelligent movie starring an Ellen Page or another talented female, maybe with a good script like Juno, and it would have made more money than Draft Day will.  We've got one more old, White male Kevin Costner bomb in November with another sports drama that will get lost in the sea of November movies.

It is doing so much money over here that I think not even the distributor believes. Theater owners must be in shock because the movie opened in smaller screens than Rio 2 and Divergent, and it is killing them all.

You are referring to NOAH?

I'm befuddled by the Costner "comeback". I feel like Hollywood put their hand in a hat full of the names of old, washed-up male stars and pulled his name out.

Well, he had the whole 'supporting' thing with Man of Steel and jack Ryan ... but then with the success of Hatfields & McCoys he seemed to get some sort of resurgence with the industry ... hence 3 Days to Kill and Draft Day ... but with both films having mild openings at best, we probably won't see a bunch of Costner led pics going forward.

I liked him in Draft Day though.

Well Costner is also a director so he has a little more pull than the average old washed up actor. Plus Hatfields and McCoy was really popular on tv.

No it would be funny that the so called B-Grade CA beats Superman.

What is there to laugh about ?

I mean This is not only a sequel but also pretty much a third outing for CAP. Infact if it doesn't beat MOS it will be funny.

Since CAP2 is not only a sequel to CAP1, but also following the Avengers..... I was surprise TDW didn't beat MOS.....

EAch Movie deserve as much $$ as it can get....I liked all of them......I thought MOS was out of this world, and CAP2 is not far behind either.
