CJohn
That seems good to me. Should take around 7-10M over the weekend. Quite good for something that would probably open with 4-5M a few months ago.
darkelf
Not bad, wasn't expecting anything more than 10M OW
Captain Craig
Dave McNary @Variety_DMcNary 4m 'Brick Mansions' takes in $400,000 in late-night shows Thursday in US Was wondering if the Paul Walker fan clubs would make this a posthumous hit or not. Even if the perception would've been seen as cheap by the studio they would've done better to release this in the immediate month or so of his passing when so much attention was on it. kitik
That's quite a high number for something I'm assuming was originally going to be straight to dvd.

Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted April 25, 2014 Founder / Operator Share Posted April 25, 2014 Yes, Thursday night #s are generally the beginning of the weekend thread (since that's what their grosses are counted toward).
Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted April 25, 2014 Founder / Operator Share Posted April 25, 2014 One small nitpicky thing: as much as it kinda saddens me, they're not really "midnight" numbers anymore. The majority of these Thursday night grosses come from 8-10pm shows. I'm lobbying to just call it "Opening Night", but, to no avail so far.

I think most people have been calling them "previews" or "preview numbers". That works for me.
