Weekend Numbers (May 9-11) Neighbors 51.1 ASM2 37.2

Recommended Posts

In May of 2004, Mean Girls jumped almost 500% on Friday.  I have no idea what was going on with the box office a decade ago.

What a collection of extremely shitty movies... and Kill Bill 2. Van Helsing led the box office, and 13 going on 30 had a 336% Friday jump.

Take it easy there with Kill Bill...

But if you go with other similar films as ASM2, X-men, Spider-man, Iron Man, none of them cleared 190% increase on Friday.  Why would ASM2 go up that much?

Thor 2 did. 196%. That came after pretty weak weekdays as well.

Jeff Sneider is gloating about calling Neighbors over TASM2. I thought everyone on this forum pretty much called this last weekend.

NEIGHBORS... called it! Remember that @TheWrap was the first outlet to predict THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 would finish 2nd this weekend.

there..it's said.

Well I'm gonna wait for Rth before I get too happy about it. It's only 3:42pm on the West Coast. Let's see how tonight ends and if the 11.5m holds.

11.5 is gonna turn into 9.5 as the sun goes down in the Pacific....

That's about a 170-175% jump.  Much more realistic.
