What's that?, never heard of it, and if so, when will WIR 2 be scheduled?

 

Big Hero 6 is an adaptation of a lesser known Marvel comic book series.

 

Again to clarify:

 

2013: Frozen

2014: Big Hero 6

~ 2015: unconfirmed for this year an as of yet untitled Ron Clements/John Musker film (set in the South Pacific)

 

The Rumpelstitskin feature supposedly titled 'The Name Game' is bogus. An anonymous troll who posts underneath articles at 'The Animation Guild Blog' keeps repeating this false rumor and it was somehow picked up a mainstream website.

 

The only other thing I can report from a fairly reliable source, is that Walt Disney Animation Studios is working on a brand new series of Mickey Mouse shorts, supposedly to come out this year. While these, and other shorts in development will be hand drawn, all other films will be CGI, with some using a technique similar to the one used in Paperman.

 

This is all there is right now. For some reason there continues to be more rumored BS surrounding the slate of WDAS than that of PIXAR.

I read Big 6 a few months ago and it's kind of cool that it'll be adapted. It reads as a more kid friendly series.Can't wait to see what the new Mickey shorts will look like if their using the same techniques as Paperman.

Time has come for Pixar and Marvel collaboration. An animated movie about Marvel SH by Pixar would be awesome.

Well, assuming these are all real projects it looks like Pixar will get those two films out in one year at some point, even if they still delay everything.

Two of them are probably the Teddy Newton and Mark Andrews projects, the third being the Dia de los Muertos film.

 

I guess Disney wanted to get a jump with HTTYD2 stealing their precious mid-June Pixar date next year.

Looks like Disney and Pixar are alternating doing two films a year although there's no WDAS film in 2017.

None scheduled for 2015 either. Seems the plan now is to release two WDA films every two years after Big Hero 6.

The 6/17/16 Pixar film opens one day before HTTYD 3 (June 18).

One of them could be the Incredibles 2 (11/22/2017), Dia de Los Muertos (6/17/2016), TS4 (6/15/2018), Untitled Newton Film (6/17/2017).
