No, he's got some mystery project that been in development for quite awhile. He claims it's pretty out-there hard SF, with visuals that would dwarf AVATAR. He wants to shoot it using his special cameras and tech -- native 120fps, designed for a huge IMAX-style screen.

 

So UFOTOG must be the shorter test piece for the longer feature? It does use the 120fps tech. And the Cinerama screen isn't quite real IMAX big, but it's pretty huge.

Before the Alien vs Predator series, Cameron was set to write and produce an Alien film for Ridley Scott to direct. How they decided togo with Alien vs Predator instead dumbfounds me to this day.
