the last two x-mens didn't even make 150 and the one before that had just as strong an opening as this but was a diabolical turd and had some of the shittiest legs I've seen on a summer blockbuster. so I'm happy with how it's doing.

X-Men movies will always have X-Men legs.

It's gonna finish closer to 220 than 240.

Maybe this one could surprise us with the praise it is getting from critics and audiences alike.

XOW falls into the so bad its good camp for me because its not very often you come across a very anticipated movie with such stunning ineptitude.  I'd take it over Brett Ratner's X3 any day, its got an amusing charm to it.

I'm hoping for 270 for X-Men but we'll see.

270 would require it to not only have the best legs for X-Men, but for Memorial day openers in general. I am hoping for a 2.2X from the 4 day and a 240M finish.

I have no idea where Xmen will end up. On the one hand, it's a fantastic movie and will have great word of mouth. On the other hand it's an Xmen film. There are only so many that are willing to watch it. I'm hoping that this wonderful piece of cinema can transcend it's limitations and bring in new fans like the MCU movies have done.  That is what I wish for Xmen.
