Paramount canceled Transformers V and will reboot with a new director for a 2018 release date.

 

After the disappointing midnight number by Transformers: Age of extinction. The CEO of Paramount Brad Grey announced the  media today at 12:30 PM ET " Michael Bay and his team have done a fantastic job with four transformer films that have be loved by fans but Paramount needs to go in a new direction. Paramount wants to go with Avengers style blockbuster for Transformers and Transformers 5 is being cancelled and the series will reboot. Currently Paramount is looking for a new direct and is going to hire Joss Wheldon ( The Avengers) as executive producer.".
