On surface value "Lucy" is a smaller film being positioned as a Big Blockbuster where as "Hercules" is just a Blockbuster.

Herc has more to lose in terms of budget but Lucy has more to lose in terms of expectations. With early reviews and WOM coming in, no one who was planning to see Hercules is now deciding to stay home. But you can but there's some people reconsidering Lucy.
