Just curious since the general consensus seems to be that it's far too late for a sequel. My current prediction is 11 million. Now that I think of it, you're right. I certainly have bias on that one even though the first one did have INSANE legs. But considering I've actually seen next to none advertising for this, oh and like you were saying, 2002 was 14 years ago, I don't know what I was on when I wrote that Prediction now $10 million Edited March 14, 2016 by Arlo245

It's sort of likely predicting the weekdays plus the weekend. For example, one may think Zootopia will fall 75% tomorrow and make less this coming weekend while others may think it will hold better with a 65% drop and make more money. Some just plain go with their gut. Edited March 14, 2016 by Arlo245

(I wonder how much 50 Shades 2 will drop btw) Even with harsh drops, splitting a film in two is financially really interesting. Even if Divergent 3 & 4 gross 100M and 80M, that would be still more money than a unique finale film grossing something like 120M. I know there are more costs, but the impact of the saga also remains for a year more, so the rest of the movies have more profits (tv, dvd, br, merchandising). Both Mockingjay part1&2 have grossed significantly less than CF but I am sure the producers are not regretting from the splitting. Both movies combined grossed more than 600M DOM

a2k
I probably am the only one going for Allegiant over Zootopia. I feel amazing spring weekdays will leave Zootopia with a still superb weekend hold, but will also take away from it. If Allegiant had decent buzz I would have gone with a low-40s ow with worse legs than the predecessor. Now I am going with mid-30s ow with even weaker legs than previously anticipated.
