UK and SK looks to lead the weekend with 27-28M gross in each market followed by Australia, Brazil, France and Germany. We're looking at total around 195-200M. Great start OS. It'll have another strong weekend next week followed by Chinese release. 1B OS is pretty much a done deal. Currently, I'm guessing around 1.1B OS but if it really breaks out in China then 1.2B+ is possible. 

 

Edit: I forgot about Russia which is looking at 15-16M OW. Ruble was hit the hardest so that's definitely a great accomplishment that TA2 will remain flat in gross from TA1.

F7 opened to higher, but was it in more countries?

 

200M is strong considering "weak" currency in Europe.

FF7 opened in a lot more countries and same for TA. TA2's missing most of LA, Poland, China and Japan.

I think FF7 had a lot more big market's so hard to compare.

Furious 7 opened in 64 territories that first weekend. 

 

I think it was pretty much a global release minus Russia, Japan, and China.

A1 made 185.1M in 70% of countries in It's OW.

So it makes 190M-200M really impressive? I would hope for a stronger roller out one day to see 250M-300M+

Number actually is very impressive. It's beating TA1 even in Europe where the Exchange rates are the worst. If it had a complete roll out than we would be looking at over 300M, probably close to 350M.

Yh it is a huge number even in places with awful exchange rates at the moment like Russia it is doing huge business.

TA2 may have a stronger OW than TS2 but it will have weaker legs.

1.2 billion OS is probably out of reach.

If AoU hits $200M this weekend overseas, than a complete rollout would have been well over $300M. China's opening on a Tuesday I believe, so I would imagine that AoU's take there through Sunday will pretty close to $100M, if not higher.

I thought China's release date was May 12th? Either way China would of added bare minimum 50 million to this figure.

Furious 7 didn't even have small markets left to open in after that first weekend really. Its first weekend was 64 territories. Last weekend it was only up to 68 territories. 

 

Chile, Spain, Malaysia, Peru, and Thailand might not be huge markets, but together they made the first Avengers movie over $50M. Mexico and the ~35 smaller markets opening up next weekend will add up to a decent amount cumulatively.
