coz release schedule i think :) but i hope for a boom

The release schedule is why we at the chinese thread didn't start saying that north of 300m$ is a lock for this movie, even though this is much more tailor-made for the chinese audience than F7, as soon as F7 started making such astonishing numbers.

Also, most movies lose a majority of their screems by their second weekend anyways, regardless of competition.

I hope it'll be huge, more than FF7.

 

But Venezuelan market is unpredictible (and have poor taste).

 

Another aspect to consider is that FF7 had more than 1 month of pre-sales, while TA2 only has 2 weeks.

 

Ticket price is more than 3 times expensive than TA and the ER is higher (TA: $1=Bs.4.28 Vs TA2: $1=Bs.6.3)

 

So Anything between $5m and $6m will be great.

Say what you want about the quality of the movie, Disney is still going to get rich of this movie. 1.6 billion ww. 3rd all time. That's incredible.

 

The movie is considered as good, many people think it's better than the first one, so indeed we shouldn't listen to the naysayers who are a minority anyway :)

Many records were set by the reteam of Iron Man, Thor, Cap, Black Widow, Hulk, War Machine, Nick Fury, Hawkeye and others. Among them, IMAX saw the largest non-China international opening of all-time with $10.4M and a $60K per screen average.

Korea, which was the 6th biggest overseas market for Avengers, was the top weekend play with $28.2M followed by the UK ($27.3M), Russia ($16.2M), Brazil ($13.1M) and Australia ($13.1M)…

What other overseas markets does it have left besides Russia, Japan, and China? It was smart to release the movie os first. North America hype will be fever pitch!

 

It opened in Russia. However, it has 45% of OS markets still to go includes most of LA, Mexico, China Poland, and Japan.

Australia: $13.9m vs $13.1m

Brazil: $10.8m vs $13.1m

Russia: $14.95m vs $16.2m (extremely impressive considering the exchange rates)

South Korea: $10.8m vs $28.2m

UK: $25.7m vs $27.3m
