Yes that 17M includes the 2.7M from Thursday previews.  I've taken that out.  I've also done the same for Skyfall, the comparison film, as well for WiR and BH6.

I think it's very likely to. With that OD I don't think it will do much more total than Prometheus. May fall short of that since that opened over 50m.

Agreed, too many Nolanites are thinking that people loved it and too many who were left disappointed think everyone hated it. I think most people don't really know what to make of it. Sadly, that usually hurts a film.

I'm just going off my years of tracking box office. Hardcore sci fi is not a big sell to the GA, hence why Star Wars was a huge success and 2001 wasn't. And I don't think we can deny that IS is very hard sci fi.

I mean in terms of what people are hearing walking out of the theater. No doubt the material is a tough sell
