Weekend 3/13-15 Official Estimates: Cinderella 70.1m, RAN 11m

Recommended Posts

Cinderella didn't have 3D to boost its numbers like the other three movies. Since the gap between the OW numbers for Cinderella and Oz is not that big, I was wondering if it actually sold more tickets than Oz.

I diidn't follow the details for Oz, but according to the Numbers in the quarter of its release the general Average Ticket Price was $8.13

BOM says the same for the complete year

Actual estimated ticket prizes are $8.3

How the 2D/3D split for Oz was I do not know

The estimated by BOM ticket number for OZ at the OW were 9,963,500

the $79,110,453 at BOM do not add up with estimated tickets * $8.13 = 81003255

The estimated tickets for Cinderella OW are 8,440,100

But if BOM did include the 3D detail into their estimation??? And early in the day viewings....?

Chappie is bombing. Good.

Cinderella looked like nothing new but good for the mouse.

Going to see Run All Night tonight.

Looking at the schedule, besides Fast 7 there really isn't anything jumping out that I want to see till Age of Ultron.

EDITED!!

That's a lot better than only 23% from Friday. It looks like the ratio improved on Saturday.

LOL I'm curious to know how they know this.  I've always wondered how they know what the gender and age is of everyone buying a ticket to a movie.

Impressive for Cinderella, really blah for Run All Night that's Liam Neeson's lowest grossing debut as a lead in a action movie and director Jaume Collet Serra's lowest grossing nationwide debut just behind the 2005 House of Wax remake

Oh my The Lorax. I remember when that came out of nowhere with that opening weekend. That was a fun weekend. Nobody was checking for that 70m opening.
