I've got a question, baumer you said that it's our responsibility to figure out the timezone conversions for deadlines. But you haven't said what time zone you yourself are in / are referring to with the deadline. (America is split into two different timezones right?)

 

The U.S. has four timezones, but Baumer's in Canada.

 

The deadlines are always based on Pacific Daylight Time.

And truly it makes great sense. Baumer is being generous by allowing us to count the entire gross - even though it releases overseas before the game starts. The WW weekends is for during the game period I don't understand what you have a problem with??

WW OW is better as its OS 1st Weekend+DOM OW. Not hard to understand. I guess you like it starting May 1. lol

Apparently not. It will be AOU's 3rd OS wknd+DOM weekend. Its best weekend starting May 1. All others movie are best WW weekends doesn't mean first OS OW.

You just need to try and ignore Neo as he is just trying to make everything sound needlessly complicated.

 

The worldwide Weekend question is NOT OPENING WEEKEND. It is just the biggest weekend the film has. at any point During the game (so from May 1st).  

 

So with regards to Avengers, if it has a top 5 qualifying Weekend worldwide on May 1-3, OR 8-10 OR 11-13. Then it will qualify.  

 

Besides, seeing as it's likely going to make 200M+ domestic on May 1st-3rd, adding that to whatever it grosses worldwide if more than likely still going to be higher than any other film of the summers Worldwide weekend at any point, so just put Avengers 1st regardless

One thing to add, the reason why it is highest weekend at any point in its run instead of just Opening weekend is because of films like Terminator Genisys.

 

It randomly opens in Colombia, Peru and Singapore one week before it opens in 36 territories including USA, UK, Australia, Mexico and Russia.  

 

Now if the hype for Terminator were off the charts then that second weekend of release could make over 200M WW and challenge the top 5.

 

It would be stupid for that to not count just because it technically had a WW OW of about 7 dollars the week before from 3 countries.
