If you add some stupid request deep in your contract and it gets honoured that means the guy actually bothered to read and honour the whole contract. Otherwise who knows what else they ignored.

 

Harvey Weinstein tells a similar story as to how he got the rights to Good Will Hunting as Damon and Affleck threw a random gay sex scene between Damon and Williams' characters and he was the only company to question that scene in the primary meeting which showed them that he had actually read the script star to finished and not just skimmed it.
