4815162342
Only #73? Ranked behind POTC? Yeah, that's just laughable. Pirates is overrated, and Jesse James is god tier. Time to Riot

Avatree
Just occurred to me that Scarlett Johansson in Lost in Translation looks rather like the girl out of Lazytown
Blankments
Was just a joke about how obsessed with ranks this forum is. Derp, I feel dumb now Seen: Tropic Thunder Pacific Rim Catch Me If You Can The Perks of Being a Wallflower Wreck-It Ralph The Dark Knight Rises Frozen Life of Pi Avatar Batman Begins Zero Dark Thirty Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl Need to see: The Royal Tenenbaums Inside Llewyn Davis Collateral Kill Bill: Volume 2 Little Miss Sunshine The Master Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban American Psycho Snatch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 Moonrise Kingdom Requiem for a Dream A Separation The Act of Killing Before Sunset Lost in Translation The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford Blue is the Warmest Color The Wolf of Wall Street
JohnnY
Little Miss Sunshine so low? It was my #3 movie, but I'm glad it made the Top 100. I guess Spirited Away (my #1) missed the ranking, i would be surprised if it ranked higher than Frozen and Batman movies. The Panda
I'm glad Before Sunset made it even if it's way to low
James
I love the Rotten Tomatoes summary - "you'll have a good time when it's over". Nothing could be more accurate... Am I the only person on the forum who absolutely despises the Pirates movies? I really can't stand them. Almost as bad as Transformers imo. This film is easily my most loathed of the 100. Yep you are. The fact that you fail to enjoy a perfectly enoyable blockbuster is a real problem. And TF are very good movies, and the evidence is there: people love them, they make billions. They have relatable protagonists, and same does Pirates. There is a reason why people love Sparrow, besides JD attracting the female demo
Avatree
I'm aware that people love these movies, that doesn't mean I have to. I think they are utter horseshit, but that's just my opinion. Edited April 2, 2015 by treeroy
James
I'm aware that people love these movies, that doesn't mean I have to. I think they are utter horseshit, but that's just my opinion. I know, I just wish I'd understand why there are people on this planet that cannot love a stupid, over the top, fun movie just because it's fun. Avatree
I know, I just wish I'd understand why there are people on this planet that cannot love a stupid, over the top, fun movie just because it's fun. Of course I can love films that are merely big, stupid fun - I adore Pacific Rim and Guardians of the Galaxy, to name a couple of recent examples, I don't know if you have looked at my 50 of the half-century list but there are already a couple I've written about, and there are a couple more to come. However, I don't find Pirates (or Transformers) fun in the slightest, hence I do not love it for being fun.

Dementeleus
I know, I just wish I'd understand why there are people on this planet that cannot love a stupid, over the top, fun movie just because it's fun. Because they're stupid. (The movies, not the people.)
Jake Gittes
I have no problem with stupid films as long as they know they're stupid and don't pretend to be anything more. (See the last two F&F movies for example). The problems begin when the movies stop being fun and engaging.
