Master Scottb
Also very curious to see THG BD share so much higher than Twilight. Are there really that many more male fans?Might explain why THG had the legs it did at the box office.

BK007
Hey Fake, is SoundScan data free or must you subscribe to it? Anywhere to find this data?Do you not use thenumbers?
Fake
Hey Fake, is SoundScan data free or must you subscribe to it? Anywhere to find this data?Do you not use thenumbers?Actually it is Videoscan, Soundscan tracks music sales.... sorry for the typo.I subscribe to HMM's magazine..... they provide weekly sales data (only ratios, no numbers), but every once in a while there are some numbers or charts which can be used to estimate other numbers. There are some forums on the net which specifically discuss Blu-ray/DVD sales. You can go to them, some of the members post some charts from that magazine.I don't think any individual has direct access to Soundscan. Studios have it, and a couple of sites like HMM and the-numbers have it, that's all.

Fake
Bigger drop for THG than I expected.... It will have to wait for sometime for hitting 5 million mark.
John Marston
I expect Avengers to be the highest selling Blu ray disc ever
Fake
Avatar has a pretty big lead. So I am not sure if it can pass it anytime soon.I think TDK will be a better and more achievable target. Avengers should pass it in the long run, I hope.

The Futurist
THG combined Blu-ray and DVD sales are at 8.826m, which in 2012 is phenomenal. What was the number of DVDs sold for a big blockbuster like THG in 2003 ???15/20 million ??? More ???IS there a Top somewhere with the movies that sold the most DVDs ???
Fake
Early sales estimates:Snow White: 1.2 milTitanic: 460kTHG: 100kLorax: 50kWTF was I thinking expecting 1.5-2 mil for Titanic?
rockNrollaDIM
Very strong for SWATH.
Fake
Its good for SWATH but nothing spectaluar for a 150M+ movie. DVD sales look to be below or around 1 million, so the blu-ray share was a bit high.
baumer
No love for Titanic Blu-Ray. Even 1 million is jeopardy. The special edition DVD came out what...5 years ago? It might b too soon to have it on BR.
