rockNrollaDIM
Well I'm all in favor of TA kicking Avatar's ass. But 6-7m... just wow. I'm constantly caught off guard by the hype for this.Once again the BD share is telling. I am still surprised it's THAT highly skewed toward BD though as TA clearly appealed to women as well. I'm not complaining, but what gives?
SchumacherFTW
Maybe more people are getting BD players and this is the killer app for them.
Fake
Yeah.... the BR share is very surprising. I was expecting it to be in 50-60% range..... but wow!TDKR might get even higher share IMO.
rockNrollaDIM
Yes or no... 2.5m units is a pretty average number for a blockbuster on DVD, yeah? The BD number is simply astronomical.
druv10
Brace yourselves.Avengers has apparently sold over 6 million units on Blu-ray alone. :oThis number could very well be as high as 7 million when final numbers come.It also sold around 2.5 million DVDs.Awesome news. It should easily surpass 10M, maybe 12M?

Does that get tallied up as a BD and as DVD sale, or just a BD sale?
Noctis
Jesus fucking Christ, it's going to sell more in a week than DH2 did in its entire run? I knew it was going to destroy it, but not like THIS.
