Tom cruise has 16 movies over 100 mil domestic. And 22 movies over 200 mil ww. That is the definition of not box office poison.

What in the actual fuck with these idiotic posts?

Some seem to not be able to not follow that strange mass-'infection' to overexaggerate into 'haha'-negative. I am guessing it started as an ironic reaction to some over-dramatic posts here and/or articles. Like that wave about movie xy is 'crumbling' and such.

Why I think that isn't a good idea (beside I am seeing it as annoying) is, that guests without the knowledge about the 'normal' BO rules (and maybe even also not-native speaking English readers) might either not fast enough pick up on the 'ironic' detail and learn as such wrong BO business rules, making it harder for them or maybe  register and continiue that behaviour, thinking it's 'cool' to do so 'here'.

To me it really gets boring....

dude, do you really have to post that same thing fifty times in every single numbers thread? we get it. if someone cares that much about your list then they can see it for themselves on BOM without you spamming it everywhere...

he/she did ask in the weekend estimates thread if he/she should continiue, no one said no, a few encouraged him/her. Not a fan of the length the viewable part of the posts  either, but as I love details... I am the last one to speak up against them

That movie was insanely hyped prior to release. Like outgrossing ET high predictions. Despite the fact that it still had a great gross, nearly everyone was considering the gross disappointing at the time because that's how high expectations were. I'm sure it would have hit 300 easily if it had been a better movie and Tom Cruise backlash hadn't already started prior to the release (iirc).

So it was essentially 2005's Interstellar.

dude, do you really have to post that same thing fifty times in every single numbers thread? we get it. if someone cares that much about your list then they can see it for themselves on BOM without you spamming it everywhere...

This information isn't readily available on BOM. The lists there stop at 10-day grosses. It's pretty awesome that e1828 has collated it together for us to see, and you can get a cool picture of how great the late legs for some of these films are.

After the day 52 point, Titanic grossed another 263m. Avatar grossed another 120, and Frozen another 87. That's pretty awesome.

(Actually, I don't think we've yet hit Titanic's biggest single day, yet. Next weekend, perhaps?)

IMO, these are great and not spamming at all. In fact, there's no easy way to look at this specific data without e1828's lists.

The kids ruined WOTW for me

Totally. The movie to me is a like a huge attempt gone astray, like IJ4. Still watchable, because Spielberg. But the big expectations made it more disappointing.

WOTW has grown on me.  The whole sequence at Tim Robbins barn.

A lot of people are down on those parts of the movie but I think those really take the movie to a whole other level. also I'm probably forgetting something but I feel like the part where cruise kills robbins is probably the darkest he's allowed himself to go in a movie.
