GiantCALBears
I'm tempted to say Argo's moving into frontrunner status.Lol I love these statements with no basis, support the claim please
Sims
Lol I love these statements with no basis, support the claim pleaseUm, did you see the BAFTA nominations? They went crazy for the movie. Ben Affleck for Best Actor!? Snubbing Spielberg? I don't want Argo to win by any means but it certainly appears to be in at the very least third place behind Lincoln and ZDT. Jack Nevada
I think Mirror Mirror will get a costume nomination at the Oscars, but lets face it:that award has been locked for Anna Karenina ever since the movie got announced

There's always a WTF only at the BAFTAs nom in acting each year that doesn't mean anything in the end. This year it's obviously Affleck. Most of the time they go with the majority of other film award groups.
Jack Nevada
I think it would be a goddamn shame if Marigold Hotel got a BP nomination at the Oscars instead of Moonrise Kingdom or Beasts.IT WASNT THAT GOOD
CloneWars
Spielberg snub means nothing. But, yah, I think Skyfall's chances are falling.

Jack Nevada
Maybe Skyfall. I feel it's between those two. The Academy is in love with 3D cinematography. They have given the award to Avatar and Hugo, two 3D films, within three years

Jack Nevada
How can anyone say anything is locked for anything at this point? Has anyone been raving about Argo's cinematography? Or pointing it out as a strong point?
CoolioD1
A lot of people have been digging it. I don't think Argo is entirely unlikely for a nom there.BTW Cinematography guild announces their nominees later today.
The Futurist
Am I the only one to notice the lack of new fresh blood at the Oscars this year or is it alaways like this ?All Oscar movies are made by respected filmmakers who already won or at least got nominated.Affleck is the only Oscar virgin.Where is the new generation ???
